If you are thinking of starting your practice in London, you better have a good connection, because with the numbers of solicitors around it’s increasingly obvious that there’s extra work force right there.
Of course, if you specialized in some of the practices that is highly sought after – criminal and domestical lawyers are in pretty high demand – you have a much better chance of finding a job then if you are just a general purpose lawyer. Also, work experience is also something you should have if you are thinking of getting yourself a good job, the beginners don’t stand much chance on a job market that’s already just too crowded.
These are just some of the things you need to know about if you plain to join solicitors in London, for now it might just be the best for you to stay where you are at the moment, to get more experience, or, if you really want to change to location of your offices, to look for a job on the mainland of Europe, but you do have to know a secondary language for that.
